I flew down to California yesterday.
My seat was right next to the propeller. Once they start spinning, they’re so fast you can no longer perceive the individual blades.
The weather was beautiful as we took off in Portland, so I snapped a few pictures.
It was fascinating to see the blades caught in motion. The illusion of them flying off into the sky.
The shadows that were only visible in the photos.
Such a great reminder about how variable, even malleable, our perceptions are.
And how cool air travel really is when you stop to think about it.
This, I love to see. Yes, always question your perceptions. Hell, question everything. Your post is a great reminder to make this a habit.
