A look back at some of the best, hardest and most surprising parts of my week. Plus a few of my favorite photos I snapped during the week. Sometimes, they’re even relevant.
The Good
Video. I started playing with the new video option on Instagram. I’ve seen a lot of bad video’s showing up, and some really interesting ones. Right now I’m kind of obsessing on an image that appears static, but with just an element or two that moves, like this one I captured at Cathedral Park.
Shortly after I took the video, the people that walked through it came by. I chatted with them, showed them the video and gave them a copy. I love how tiny they look against the bridge supports.
Bonus Good.
Learning. Turns out you can’t embed a quicktime video like a photograph, or a youtube video. So I had to learn how to do it. And by learn, I mean google for the step-by-step directions and follow them exactly. Who actually needs to know anything when you have google?
The Bad
Waiting. I bet you’re as ready as I am for this darn race to be over. I am not good at waiting or resting. I’m so very distracted. And then before I know it, Thursday will be here. Patience. Trust. Soon enough.
Also, I think carbo-loading came to be from trying to put a good spin on continuing to eat like you’re still running 35-40 miles a week instead of tapering down to less than half of that.
The Rad
Winning. I’ve loved Trivia games since I first started trying to collect all five pieces of pie in the mid-eighties. This past week, I was invited to join a long-standing team at the local pub for a special trivia night. It was fun to hang out with old friends, and meet new ones. And of course, coming out on top at the end of the night, made it just that much more fun.
Now, where to put my new stickers…
And you?
